Grandhotel Pupp

Since 1701, when the Saxon Hall was built, the story of Grandhotel Pupp has been unfolding in Karlovy Vary. Over more than three centuries, the hotel has become one of the spa town’s symbols and a venue for significant social and cultural gatherings.

We enjoyed not only the town but the hotel was spectacular. The staff were attentive, atmosphere was devine and the food was unbelievable. Walk the hotel to see the hotel’s history and its connection to film.

MICHELIN Guide Rating

The MICHELIN Guide has for the first time in the Czech Republic presented a selection of restaurants and hotels that are worth discovering and that allow visitors and locals alike to gain a deeper understanding of the rich cultural heritage and diversity of the country. We are honored to have been included in this prestigious selection with our restaurants Grandrestaurant and Malá dvorana, as well as a hotel belonging to the exclusive group of the very best in the Czech Republic.

The hotel spa features a large pool, saunas and, most importantly, relaxing Ayurvedic massages, which will restore your physical and mental strength. The Grandrestaurant invites you to enjoy a seasonal menu made from local ingredients.

The surroundings of Karlovy Vary also continue to encourage expeditions for new experiences. At the reception you can rent trekking poles or e-bikes and travel cross-country through beautifully colored forests. The quiet Ohře Valley and the contemplative Krušné Mountains, a historic mining region listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List, are also beautiful options.

History

The Grandhotel Pupp boasts such a fascinating history as few other hotels in the world. Historical twists, revolutions, wars and disputes of ancient owners have failed to break the thread of a unique story that has been going on for more than three centuries.

In 2026 it celebrates its 325th anniversary.
