Lokál Dlouhááá
Lokál is built on a simple concept: a Czech pub that cultivates honest beer culture and traditional Czech cooking. Both in its interior design and in its approach to hospitality, Lokál emulates the atmosphere of an old-world pub where regulars were treated as valued customers.
Described as the first and literally the longest Lokál – it measures 69,78 meters, this establishment (we referred to it as a beer hall) has 12 beer tanks serving approximately 1,300 guests each day.
It is a first come first serve establishment where you need to put your name on a list and simply wait.
The place is huge and it is busy but the wait is well worth it. Staff is friencly and efficient and prices are reasonable.
Don’t try to skip the list – it won’t work. This place has a system and who are you to change the flow of patrons coming in and out.
Be warned this place is busy and noisy so if you are wanting an quiet and intimate environment then this is not your place. We, however, were looking for a beer hall feel so we really enjoyed the experience. We ordered 2 types of beer (a regular one and a raspberry version). The latter was sweeter and enjoyable but to be honest I could have only drank one of that type of beer due to the sweetness.
There was a variety of dishes to choose from so we ordered a chicken dish with potatoes and sausages with a creamy horseradish dip. Both were delicious.
This is a really fun place to try so don’t miss out if you get a chance.
