The Vintage is a chic cafe with Paris-style decor serving coffee, beignets, cocktails & wine, plus small plates.
Coffee, Beignets, Wines, Bubbles, and Bites
The Vintage is serious about coffee but way more serious about service. A hot beignet is a pillow of goodness, and who doesn’t love their pillow? They love a great glass of champagne… or two… or a bottle… but the friends they share it with will always outlast the bubbles. They savor on wine and sour on whining. A bite is really all you need unless you have another three or four, but that’s called dinner.
They ask their customers: Did you enjoy yourself? Did you relax? Did you smile? Did you join your friends or enjoy a little quiet time away from it all? Was the last sip better than the first? Was the first bite as wonderful as the last? Do you know who was sitting next to you? Did you care?
We stopped in during the day while visiting the Garden District. It was a wonderful cool spot on a very hot day.
The decor was wonderful and the service was very courteous. We chose to grab lattes and beignets. Although a bit heavy with icy sugar, the beignets were yummy and well worth the purchase.
The location also provides wifi which was badly needed. We have found that some locations in New Orleans do not have wifi. For writers, it is a much needed service.
Coffee shops are rare on Magazine Street so we were thrilled to find this wonderful friendly establishment.
