Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers is an American fast-food chain specializing in chicken fingers founded in 1996 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, by Todd Graves and Craig Silvey. The company is named after Graves’ dog, a yellow Labrador.
We dined at this establishment on our way to Orlando for a quick bite before heading back on the road. Travelling from New Orleans to Orlando, we needed a place to rest and eat to break up the 9 hour trip.
We were not disappointed with this fast-food establishment. Our daughter wanted to try it after seeing many online reviews. Apparently it is quite the craze for many. Dining on its famous chicken fingers, fries and dip, we enjoyed a filling meal for under $25 for 3 people.
This establishment is in many parts of the US but seems to be one chain that has not opened in Canada. Many do open north of the border so we will see if this chain tries its luck in Canada. I think it would do quite well.
Some may be wondering why we are focusing on fast food. The reality is many dine even occasionally at these types of establishments. We try to eat at locally owned establishments but there is a time and place for fast food but we look for better quality and value.
