Luke is a Creole-inspired Brasserie located in the heart of New Orleans’ Central Business District on world-famous St. Charles Avenue, steps from the French Quarter neighbourhood. A lively atmosphere surrounds the raw bar offering the freshest seafood and oysters procured daily from the Gulf of Mexico.
Chef Erick Loos is at the helm of the kitchen featuring dishes that highlight local purveyors and farmers’ market ingredients. Behind the bar, a selection of bartender-created specialty cocktails is offered among a carefully curated list of wines from throughout the world and locally crafted brews.
Luke’s offers an extensive menu and a great happy hour for those loving oysters.
Happy Hour menu offers oysters at $1.50 each making them a great bargain. Other happy hour specials include drinks.
We enjoyed splitting a burger (a huge burger and fries at $22 and easily split between 2 people), and 2 drinks (Door Number 3 and Blackberry Smoke – a bit spicer.
With the July heat hovering around 96.8 degrees, I really only needed water so I could have honestly skipped the alcohol.
Although the burger was not on the happy hour menu, it was well worth the $22. One way boomers can cut there dining expenses beside enjoying happy hour pricing is to share meals. Often the portions provided make it easy to split while still leaving rather full.
